It is critical to understand that when physiology is high, cognition is low and mistakes can be made if situations are not practice and come as a surprise.
In the top video, a senior peace officer, identified by the contact officer as "Captain Canal(sp?)" displays a critical lack of awareness and tactics by not following contact/cover tactics, poor searching, poor positioning of himself and the citizen, standing in dangerous traffic (almost loses campaign hat), and positions himself in a crossfire. The captain live, the passenger was shot and the driver arrested.
In the bottom video, an officer loses emotional and professional control as indicated by the narrator of the video, exhibiting many of the mistakes as the top video with the addition of an excessive use of force.
