Identifying Concealed Weapons
It could be the most important question of your life... "Is there a gun?"
This class uses body language indicators from "Fundamental Body Language" and "Paralanguage", as well as new visual indicators to assist in determining the likelihood of a person carrying a weapon concealed on their person.
This class is specificially designed to give a broader knowledge and confidence of pat-down searches in relationship to the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and how to articulate observations made during a lawful detention in a report format.
This class has been presented during a State Peace Officer Academy and follows California Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) requirements for P.O.S.T. Learning Domain 16 (Search and Seizure).
Beyond being utilized by armed peace officers, this presentation gives valuable insight to unarmed professionals. Also covered are contemporary methods of concealing weapons and disguised weapons. In conjunction with "Fundamental Body Language" this presentation is a valuable safety lesson.
This seminar is 4 hours.
